Dans l’Egypte ancienne, le grand prêtre Imhotep a été enseveli vivant pour avoir volé un manuscrit qui devait ressusciter sa belle. Découvert sous forme de momie par un archéologue, rendu à la vie, il monte une expédition pour retrouver la tombe de sa bien-aimée. Mais celle-ci s’est réincarnée en jeune femme moderne, et il lui faut la conquérir.
