Trois soldats américains qui ont combattu en France pendant la Première Guerre mondiale se séparent et retournent à la vie civile. Lloyd Hart est avocat, George Hally, ancien tenancier de saloon, devient contrebandier, Eddie Bartlett se retrouve chauffeur de taxi.
