L’ignoble Freddy a encore trouvé un moyen pour venir hanter les cauchemars des enfants de Elm Street : il se réincarne dans le bébé qu’attend Alice, celle qui l’avait pourtant vaincu dans le précédent épisode. Il arbore à nouveau crânement son chapeau, son pull rayé et ses longues griffes aiguisées et Alice aura fort à faire pour le ramener dans le sinistre asile psychiatrique où il fut conçu.
